Tea Party Birthday

Lainey was invited to her first big girl birthday party! Dana (who Andy works with) was having a party for her 4 year old daughter Lucy and invited Lainey. All the other girls were 3-5 years old and had a long enough attention spans to play the games and participate in the festivities. Lainey of course was much too "busy" to do that. While they were involved in the games and activities Lainey and I explored the gardens. The place that she had it at was really cool. It was a really cute theme (princess tea party) and all the girls seemed to have a really good time. I thought the cake and cupcakes were darling. Lainey thought she was such a BIG GIRL eating all by herself.

Lainey exploring the gardens:

She was climbing on these for a very long time. She took a spill and scraped up her knee a bit, but got right back up and was climbing again after brushing it off. She is one tough little girl!

Here is the birthday girl chowing down on her cupcake!

Aren't these so cute?!

Such a big girl..

I want to go to a princess tea party! Remember how we rented those ridiculous southern belle dresses for that one high school dance? I just had a flashback of that when I typed the word princess.

Anyway- yes, I love Lainey's polka dress with the pink bows and the cupcakes shaped and decorated as tea cups. Kids b-day parties are just too fun! ;)
