Pigtails gone WRONG!

Have you ever tried to chase a 1 and a half year old around the house for 30 minutes trying to get pigtails in her hair. Let me tell you, it is a challenge! As you can see, my efforts were fruitless...they were all askew..sad thing is, I left them in! I was so worn out after chasing her all around the house that I just didn't have it in me to do her hair AGAIN. Oh, and yes, her face is bright red because we had some ranch with lunch :).
She is the biggest ham!


All she wants to do these days is CLIMB....ugh..

Last B-day shout out!!

As the month of March is coming to an end, I have just one shout out left...this is for my sister-in-law..really I guess she would be my step-sister-in law, but really, that just sounds funny! So here ya go Lisa, HAPPY 29th B-day!!! We hope that you have a wonderful day and try not to think about NEXT year when you will be REALLY OLD! Ha, just jokin..well, sort of :). Lisa is a super-mom, she is the mother of 3 young girls and let me tell you, she has one tough job! I love Lisa to death, she is so much fun to be around. I always feel at ease when hanging out with her. She accepts you for who you are and passes no judgements. She is a great gal! OUR BIRTHDAY BOY!

Happy 6th birthday E-bear! I can hardly believe that he is 6 now....the years have somehow flown by. Ethan is such a happy boy and we love him more than words can say. We are planning on taking him out to dinner this week at a Teppanyaki restaurant (like Benihana's) compliments of Grandpa J and Grandma Reading. He LOVES to go out to eat. We are also being really brave parents and will be taking 6 of Ethan's friends to Okinawa World this Sunday. It was originally going to be 3 friends, but you know how that goes. Hopefully we will survive the afternoon and I'll make sure to take lots of pics. Here are a few from his birthday morning...Thanks everyone for the great b-day gifts. He loves them!
P.S. We are planning on going to the post office today to get our package from Grandma Pat. Pics will be posted soon!

Happy Birthday Holland!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Holland! We love you!! We have been gone most of her life, but we get updates through Lisa's blog and we think she is such a funny, cute little girl! We can't wait to be closer so that we can get to know her better! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Ethan's projects

Ethan made his army the other day when it was raining. He was getting really upset when Lainey would come by and take a few. She could have cared less about the little army men, but when she found out it made her brother scream, she couldn't get enough of them!




Ethan learned about recycling this week in class. They all got to make houses out of recycled stuff. Ethan came home all excited to show me this. He said that it is our new house when me move back to the states....please please don't let that be true!! The teacher said that when it was his turn to show off his masterpiece, he gave quite a lengthy, detailed speech about the house. Wish I could have been there :).

Mio turned 3!!

Mio's birthday was yesterday and she turned 3! We got her this DISGUSTING bone for her birthday. We have never given her one and at first she didn't know what to do with it, but she soon got the hang of it and LOVED it! We keep it outside for her and I wrap it up and stick it away when she comes inside so that ants won't get to it. GROSS. She is one happy 3 year old!

Happy Birthday Lexi!!

Here is the next shout out: This one is for little LEXI..Happy 6th birthday!! Lexi is my niece and we want to tell her Happy Birthday! We wish we were there to celebrate it with her. She is such a darling little girl. I love this pic of her with her missing tooth :). I can't believe that our kids are now 6!! They grow up too dang fast! We love you Lexi!

Rain Rain GO AWAY!!!

I sure am sick of the rain and yucky weather and here's the kicker, it isn't even rainy season yet. Argh!! (Yes, I decided that I am a pirate today). Anyway, here are some fun pics of the kids. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAVAN!!

I missed Jordan's birthday (oops) so, I am redeeming myself and posting this a DAY early! It is my 12th, but back in the states it it still the 11th. I want to be the first to wish Tavan Kathleen Smith a Happy Birthday! For all of you who don't know, she is my step-sister. Really though, she is more than that, she is a great friend. She is one of the funniest people I know and I can always count on a good time when she is around. She is also my Happy Sumo buddy. Who wouldn't love someone who loves to eat sushi almost as much as me right?! Since all of our stuff is in storage I don't have a single pic of her in my possession...so, I stole one from her blog. Happy 29th b-day tav!! Oh goodness...your going to be OLD next year...ha ha!

Nasty Nasty Earthworms!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the underlining, I can't get it off. But Anyway, I went outside this morning to get Ethan's shoes in my BARE FEET mind you and I stepped on one of these horrible nasty earthworms!!!! EEEWWWWW!! It rained really hard last night and this I what I have to deal with. YUCK! Well, to tell you the truth, I am going to wait for Andy to wake up this afternoon and have him deal with these nasty guys.

Happy March!

I love March. Spring is such a nice time of the year.. winter is finally over and we start to see the sun again. Well, here in Okinawa it never really went away, but still, I can FEEL that it is spring (at least somewhere anyway!). March is the month we were married and it is also birthday time for Ethan and me! Not to mention, I have about a hundred relatives with birthday's this month too. See, I haven't forgotten, I will even give you all shout outs on your special day! Okay, I might have cheated a bit and looked at Lisa's blog for a little help as to when the ACTUAL dates where, but still.
