Okinawa World

We finally made it to Okinawa World! Ethan was supposed to go there for his birthday but he decided to invite his whole kindergarten class after we had told him only 2 friends. It would have cost us about $500.00, so we had to cancel. It was insanely hot so we made a quick trip down there. They have a huge cave, traditional Okinawan village and a Habu exhibit (Habu's are very poisonous snakes on Okinawa.) Here are the pics! (This is Andy by the way)

The gate to Okinawa World

Ethan, not too happy to be posing!
Shisa dogs!

The staircase leading down to the cave.

The cave, I have never seen so many stalactites and stalagmites in my life.

Really cool formation from the flowing water.

Not sure what the sign says....probably something like "Look at the stupid Americans in our cave."

Another Shisa dog.
Lainey LOVES shisa dogs.

Annie's favorite one.

Ethan was scared out of his mind, he doesn't look like it but once he realized he didn't have to touch it he was fine.

The Shisa dogs at the gate.

My favorite pic of Lainey!

What a fun trip - and worth waiting for! Like your dad said, an "insanely cute family." That last one of Lainey is especially good, we agree!

oh my hell...i still cannot get over the fact that you freaking touched that giant snake! the one who is deathly afraid of bugs could let an reptile that moves WITHOUT legs wrap its cold-blooded, slithery, GROSS body around you??? YUCK (can you tell i am not a fan of snakes??). anyway, back to the pics...1. you guys are the tannest family in the world. you are seriously giving george hamilton a run for his money. 2. that cave is awesome! i want to go there in feb, k? 3. your nails ROCK. and 4. can your kids get any cuter?? i love them. and you. and andy...but not in the "i love you" kind of way, more like the "your my best-friend's husband" kind of way...okay, i will end my novel now :)

Reminds me of Tipanogos Cave here in Utah. You all sure are a courageous bunch! Love your comment about the sign saying "stupid americans in our cave" too. Great pics!
