Happy 4th of July!

The rain finally stopped (wahoo!) and so we were able to go to "AmericaFest" on Saturday. We saw some really cool planes, jets, helicopter's etc. It was open to the local's as well and it was a GREAT place to people watch!

Here is the new F22:

Ethan always has a great time at things like this. He brought along his military airplane book so that he could have the pilot's autograph the page next to their aircraft. He was quite shy about it, but was brave and went up all on his own to ask them. Of course they thought it was pretty damn cute.

Gary Sinise was here for the weekend, meeting and greeting military members. Andy just took a pic and we were on our way.

Me and Lainey bug..it was a bit windy! It was nice though, since it was quite hot outside! (I have had quite a few comments on my lovely RED hair. Nope, sorry, it was a lady behind me)!!

Andy with the kids. Gotta love Ethan's fake smile!
The F-4 :
Here is the back of an F-15. How cool is that?!

Getting an autograph. Notice how far away he stood :)

Ethan always manages to catch the attention of the locals and they LOVE to take pictures with him. They love his blonde hair and blue eyes.
He got a bit braver this time and actually talked with the pilot.
Japanese woman love their shoes. It isn't uncommon to see women wearing high heels while riding bikes or get this, STILLETOS while hiking. I am more of a comfort gal myself. In my younger years though I would wear 4 inch boots while bartending for 12 straight hours so I can surely feel their pain!
As Lainey would say: The "weee-ooo wee-ooo".

Ebear looking all cool:

The side of a C1-30:

I think that a lot of the Japanese come on base not for the planes, but for the pizza! 1 out of 5 people leaving the flight line were carrying pizza. These women stocked up! It's sad too because the pizza really isn't even that good :).

Here is a pic just to show you how adorable Lainey can look..the next pic however is not her best!

We didn't give her ANYTHING sour, she just made this face. I seriously almost pee my pants every time I look at it.

Here she is checking out all the gadgets..

Isn't this a total Marilyn Monroe moment?!

Ethan would have stayed up there forever. He was in heaven!

GREAT photos - you captured the event wonderfully! Ms. Lainey's sour puss face is unbelievably funny....someone should use it for an ad campaign. Ethan looked so cute, and indeed he looked as if he was in heaven!

I love her "sour" face! She is such a cutie! Holy stocking up on pizza! They don't mess around. You should charge the people $2 for every picture taken with Ethan. Seriously!
