Tharps Log in Sequoia. We hiked up to the log not having a clue what it was. Turns out it was the home of the first white man to enter the Giant Forest in Sequoia. In 1858 he made a summer home out of a hollow sequoia that had fallen. It was very cool to see and go inside.

The Valley...one of the most breathtaking places in the world. Well in my opinion.
Our hike to Tharps Log in Sequoia. It was amazing the be in the fog and have such cool colors.
Love the fall colors and the fog....very Halloween...ish

I just watched Oprah's episode of her and Gayle visiting all of these sites on their camping trip. The whole time I was watching it I kept thinking- "Hey, that's where Annie and her family just was!" You guys are so lucky to live in close proximity to nature in such beauty. Our family will HAVE to come out sometime to do this. Neither Bart or I have ever been to Yosemite!
