A few pictures of Ethan and I camping at Hume Lake in Sequoia NP. Ethan was very excited to go fishing and shoot his wrist rocket. We had a blast and even convinced Annie to come with us in the spring. Lainey saw the pictures and asked if she could go next time too. Time to buy a family size tent (anything other than a tent is NOT camping, don't lie to yourself).

I tried to convince Andy that I would prefer to "camp" at the Hilton, but apparently that isn't real camping...sigh..really though, I can't wait for our whole family to go next time. I have great memories of camping when I was a kid.
Looks amazing!! Yes, Annie..you should go! Just remember there is a hot shower waiting for you at home and you can get through anything!
Yay Andy!! 2 thumbs up for the last of a dying breed--tent campers!! Wish we could say that we've moved up in the world but(sadly) it's "real" camping only here, too. Beautiful pictures, as usual!
And Annie, cut your fingernails short before you go, take a hat, plenty of wet wipes and a good sense of humor. You'll do great!
ahahahaha! Annie? Camping? I cannot WAIT for that phone call!!! Oh my hell, I can't wait.
Can't wait for the family camping pics!
I don't know what happened, but camping stopped being fun like 2 years ago for us. We keep going, though, and we keep on hating it. It makes me sad because in my head, I really like camping. But, once we get out there, set up the tents, play in the dirt, bandage up some wounds, kill some rattle snakes, get sunburned, attempt to repair the inevitable holes in the air mattress at midnight, and bruise our hips from sleeping on rocks and twigs (despite our attempts to repair the mattress), we realize that camping just isn't fun anymore. I bought cots late last summer, but so far the only action those babies have seen is from our house guests... in our spare room.
But don't get me wrong, camping is cool... we just can't figure out what we are doing wrong.
