August Adventures (thus far anyway...)

The boys ended the month of July by going camping. This time they brought along a fishing pole for Ethan. He was in little boy heaven!

This past weekend we headed up to the Fresno Chaffee Zoo. I really liked it because it isn't HUGE so one can spend a few hours there and see all there is to see and not feel too overwhelmed. We all really enjoyed it.

The kids got to feed this giraffe:

People who know me know that I am not a fan of birds, but I can appreciate a beauty when I see one!

To finish off our day we headed to In-N-Out Burger....man I love that place!

The next post will be of my hair DISASTER...I thought it would be a good idea to try to go blonde again on my own. Yes, I know, I am not allowed to buy store hair color on my own, but I just couldn't help myself. I just HAD to. So, I went from brown locks to blonde roots and green/grey striped hair. It was awesome. I had to wear a hat and sunglasses to the store to buy brown hair dye. I called Breck and got advice (and a much deserved scolding) and kind of fixed it. I have to wait a few days so I don't make my hair fall out before I post the final product. I will be basically the same color I have been for awhile but hopefully without the greyish tint it has to it now :).

Why do us girls always think we can dye our hair ourselves and have good results? I'm ok with doing my own hair and going dark. But I haven't dared with the blonde. I would bet that my hair would fall out completely. Serious. :)

Oh, man, I wish I could have listened in on that phone call you made to Breck! Annie......

On another note, the fishing trip looked like fun as did the trip to the zoo.

On yet another note, did I hear a rumor that a trip to Kohl's took place??? HOORAY!

seriously ann, I am not going to tell you how to fix your damned hair anymore! You'd think after over 10 years of making the SAME call to me, you'd learn :) just kidding, it's actually really fun to try and figure out (WITHOUT seeing the disaster) how to fix it!!
the zoo looked cool...that bird is gross.
in-and-out is so frickin' good. I don't care what anyone says...utahns that camped out for 3 days before it opened her are NOT crazy. Okay, they are.

ANNIE HAWS!! (i have to use your maiden name because you don't have a middle one...) HOW MANY TIMES have you been through this?? hmm, i have lost track. BUT i do know that it has never had good results...and this time je n'ai pas d'argent to send you to a hairdresser to get it fixed. i'm so sorry that you're unhappy with your hair, sweetie. you got it from me. i could send you some blonde extensions, but somehow i don't think they'd help at this point! hang in there...something good will come from this. (that's my motto lately as i face each day!) love you.

Does In-And-Out Burger have veggie burgers? I know people love 'um, but I've never been to one because I assumed there wouldn't be anything there for me to eat!

Yeah, to a fun zoo! The one here in Logan is small too, but I like it for the same reasons you posted- short and not too overwhelming.
