Hiji Falls and Northern Okinawa

So last Thursday I took my mom up to hike hiji falls and to drive the northern coastline. I wish I could have stopped to take more pictures but we would have been gone for a couple days. It is very beautiful up north these pictures don't do it justice. The hike up to the falls was very easy and peaceful. The drive was a lot of fun. The northern part of the island was pretty much untouched during the war so driving through the little fishing villages up there can take you back 70-80 years. Such a simple life

These giant ferns were pretty cool....reminds me of something from Dr. Suess

Hiji Falls

We found a crazy little road that drove up the side of cliff and we ended up with this view.
