Andy's work event

I can't figure out for the life of me how to take the underlining off....What the crap?! Anyway, it is annoying, but whatever. We finally went to one of Andy's work funtions. This was the calm before the storm. Andy was feeling good, Ethan was happy, but red cheeked and Lainey was in a great mood. We went and had some lunch, Ethan played on a few bouncy toys and we even got a "train ride"!

Here is a pic of Lainey and Mamma chillin watching Ethan go down a crazy slide. It looks like I am trying to cover up her crotch. I am not, but I think subconciously I was trying to show off my newly painted black fingernails. That is a funny story. I was trying to keep up with the times and I had read in several magazines that plum is the new Fall color so when we were at the store I bought this lovely color. I guess I was colorblind for a moment because it is a VERY VERY deep purple. Put a few coats on and it is black. Have YOU ever tried to paint your fingernails black? It is a trial all in its own. I kept getting it ALL OVER me and I thought I had it looking nice and didn't touch anything for like an hour and then went to bed. I woke up the next morning to find pillow marks all over my nails. I couldn't take it off because my cuticles were now a lovely black so, I just left them! Who looks at your nails that close anyway right?!

Here is poor Ethan at the height of his skin rash. We went to the doctor today and he thinks it is either fifth disease or get this, SCARLET FEVER. Fifths disease is no big deal, you just have to wait it out, but Scarlet Fever requires antibiotics. He did yet another strep test and we will know in a few days what's up. He has all the signs of Scarlet Fever, even the strawberry tongue. I get that they don't want to overprescribe antibiotics, but if you freaking look at all the symptoms that Ethan had/has, he is the classic text book example. Until we get the results back he just told me to keep everyone in the family away from eachother. Are you kidding?! Nope. Yeah, right, good luck on that one. Poor Ethan, this climate here just doesn't mesh well with him. The doctor said that some kids are just chronically sick while living here. Oh what wonderful news. Just one more reason I am counting down the months....
