Ethan had been waiting for this day for over 2 months. We were very excited when the day finally came. True to Annie style I did not want to be late so we were the FIRST ones there. Yes, the first ones...I guess I could have waited a bit longer, but time was of the essence and I wanted to be there in the first group because I knew we only had a window of time before Lainey would protest. Anyway, the Skoshi Warrior day is to teach kids about what their active duty parent does before they deploy. We went through about 15 different stages. Here he is in line getting ready to sign in and get his sea bag.

In their sea bag there were all sorts of goodies! This hat was one of them and he also got some dog tags with his name on them!! He was one happy boy!

Lainey was super the whole time. She loves to people watch and is serious a lot of the time when she is in the stroller. I kept her happy by tossing little crackers in there every so often. Surprised?!

Here are some of the kids at the "briefing". They had a real CO (commanding officer) there to wish them well. It was really cool.

The first tent was the police tent. Ethan was so happy! He got to choose out of an assortment of REAL yes REAL guns and then hold them. He of course chose the bigggest one there.

They could try on gear.

Here he is with a gas mask.

Oh boy I just LOVE face paint...ugh! Just wait for the other pics...he had it all over his shirt!

The finished product..

Trying out the inflatable boot thing...yes, I know all the technical terms :)

Oh, happy boy!

Here he is on a medical van...he was a bit nervous on this one

All strapped in and ready to go!

What is a day out without meeting Sparky the fire dog! Sparky is at EVERY function we go to, but we love him anyway!

Hanging out in one of the cool trucks

Here is another gun picture...these ones are fake. They just train with them. Ethan was in heaven!

This is a missile launcher. It is HUGE. These are the last pics because my camera battery died. He did the obstacle course after this and LOVED it. He wasn 't scared one bit to try it out. It was a really fun morning and he is already asking when he can go to Skoshi Warrior again! I told him we will for sure do it again next year.

I'm glad Lainey was good while you were there! Ethan looked like he had the time of his life. Wonder if he'll be a military man like his dad?
