I DETEST BUGS!!

I swear, bugs of any sort whether they be a spider, locust, cicada (pictured above), you name it, they will land on me. It is like I am putting of some radar that says "hey, Annie hates you so let's play a fun little game and land on her so we can hear her scream." There isn't a day that goes by that some kind of pest or another decides to play this little game. There are definite pluses about living in a sub-tropical environment, but the bugs are surely not one of them. Just today while jogging with Mio and Lainey..(okay, I might be exaggerating a BIT, I was not jogging, it was a brisk walk) a huge freaking flying beetle thing lands on the stroller scaring me to death. Tonight while searching outside for Ethan another big black flying bug almost socks me on the forehead. The rest of the day I feel like I am being assaulted by little critters whether it's in my imagination or not. I think I might start wearing some sort of protective gear..do you think I would get looks if I were to wear a fencing mask and apparel? Ebay here I come!

Ethan and Lainey

Most of the time Ethan and Lainey get along really well. As this picture shows, Ethan is letting Lainey "help" him with his game. For those of you wondering, yes, that is an OLD SCHOOL game boy that was Andy's. We are too cheap to buy him a DS, instead we just give him a 20 year old toy and tell him to be happy with that! All kidding aside, Ethan thinks it is really fun to play with something that was his dad's.

My new toes!!

How much fun are these?! I love them. It always amazes me how they can paint such intricate stuff on my tiny little toenails. Especially my nub of a pinkie toe!! My feet are happy :)

Family Bike Ride!

We finally bought a seat for Lainey so now we can go for family bike rides! It was so much fun and Lainey Bug has the cutest damn helmet that I have ever seen. She looks adorable in it!



Andy had a different lens on his camera and I obviously didn't know how to work it....but here they are, all askew, but at least I got the pic right?!

Ethan did a great job and kept up the whole time. I on the other hand did fine, but I was definitely glad that Andy had the baby on the back of his bike rather than mine. I have a hard enough time keeping my balance with just me on it!
Here is a fun story. So we are at Ethan's school getting ready to go and ride around on some streets in the neighborhood and I am all ready to go when a BIRD lands on my leg!! I was stunned for a second not believing that a bird is on me (uninvited mind you) and it sat there for a second and then I screamed and apparently I scared it so bad that it decided to poop right on my shorts and fly away. Man, I hate birds!
Anyway, we had a great time and we are going to start biking together more often. Next time I will get some "in action" shots. Probably not of me though,with my luck I would be concentrating too hard and biff it!

Playing in the rain!

It has been raining now for about 2 weeks. The other day Andy had gone out with the kids while I made dinner. On their way inside they got soaked. We decided since they were already wet, they might as well have some fun! Even though it rains, it is still pleasantly warm outside. Both kids LOVE the rain and they thought that this was the greatest thing ever!
