More nasty bugs...

As I took Mio out this morning I noticed this lovely bug on our wall, GROSS eh?! He is actually kind of cool looking as long as he stays put and doesn't come near me! Sorry it is a bit foggy, it is really humid outside.The clip is of the cicadas/locusts that I thought were supposed to only come out every 7 years, but apparently here in Okinawa, they come every year. We are wake up to this lovely noise around 5 a.m. every morning.

T-ball!!!

Ethan started his first T-ball season. I tell ya, I love to watch the kids, I just sit and giggle the whole time. They are so freaking cute!! Here are a few photos of Ethan's first game!

Blonde or dark?

So, I am going to get my hair cut and highlighted or colored next week and am thinking about changing the color........so give me some input, should I go dark or keep it blonde????? The reason I am thinking of changing it is because since I am no longer a natural blonde, the upkeep sucks. The girl who does my hair here takes 4 hours to do it. Yes, 4 hours!!! How I miss my hair stylist in Salt Lake. She could do it in an hour and a half!

Lainey and her piano...

Little Miss Lainey had a doctor's appointment today and we have the numbers:
She weighs a whopping 21 pounds!! That means that she is in the 95th percentile in weight. She is 26 inches long which puts her in the 50-75th percentile for length....hmmm....
Her head circumference is in the 95th percentile too, so, 2 for 3 ain't bad right?!
The doctor said she is just great and to keep her on her meds for the reflux problem. We moved Lainey into her own bedroom a few nights ago and she is doing 3-4 hour stretches at a time now. I am starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel. We still have issues (i.e. she is still the fartiest thing around), but all in all we are getting through it. She is going to be 7 months old in 3 days....WOW!

The other morning (I was asleep, yippee!) Andy recorded Lainey laughing at Ethan. He had one of those party blower things and she thought he was sooo funny. Pardon her runny nose, she is sick. Also, she was eating a fruit puff so there is a lot of drool...

4th of July Weekend

So Ethan and I started of the 4th of July weekend by mowing the lawn. I know.....not a super fun activity. But Ethan mowed some of the lawn all by himself and was very very proud of his accomplishment. Now if I could only get him to do all the lawn all the time I would be set. I'm sure the novelty will wear off soon and he will grow to hate having to mow the lawn. Later on we went to the flightline and had a really good time. They had a vast assortment of military aircraft on display and most of them were free to roam around in. Ethan got to go in the refueling aircraft (KC-135) and the boom operator showed him how to control the boom in the back of the plane. You have to lay on your stomach and look out of a small window in the back of the plane. That has to be a fun job. He also got to go in the cockpit of helicopters, C-130's and his favorite was to touch the fighter jet (F-16). Annie and Lainey met us there a little later and we stayed until we couldn't stand the unbearable heat on the flightline (it was 96 in shade and 120 in the sun). Then we headed off to a BBQ at one of Annie's friends houses. What would the 4th be without a good BBQ? We had a really good time but had to cut out early cause of our sick little chub monster. To cap the evening off we watched the fireworks from our house. I put some chairs on a ledge on the house and had Ethan out there with me. Once again he was too scared to enjoy it as much as he should have but he pulled through. Annie and Lainey were inside, she decided to wake up for the party. So here are some pics of the days events as well as random Lainey pics which I always seem to post. P.S. notice the popped collar on Ethan, he won't wear the shirt any other way!

Wii

We got the Wii fit yesterday and man can I tell you, IT'S FUN! It is a workout too! There are all sorts of things you can do: Yoga (my fave), Running a race, Hula Hoop, skiing, snowboarding, step aerobics and much more. We have the Japanese version
so we have to guess a lot of the time, but we are figuring it out. Here are some
