So we found out where we are going next.....drumroll please......
California! While it isn't Hawaii like we had planned, we can't beat being in nice weather and we are finally close enough to visit family. We are headed to Lemoore, California which is south of Fresno. It is a small, rural town with not a whole lot going on, BUT it will be a great place to raise the kids for the next 4 years. There is a Target and Walmart 15 minutes from the base so really, I am set. I have lived this long in Japan without major shopping and have been just fine :). I am looking forward to some great farmer's markets (cross my fingers) and am elated that Mio will be able to live with us. The base has no restrictions on "aggressive breed" dogs so we are able to live on base. Wahoo!! I have been checking out schools for Ethan and we found two great ones that we can choose from. As far as school goes for me, I will have to attend a junior college since there isn't a major university close, but that will be okay. I will still be able to get my BSN, but it will just be a bit trickier. I am just excited to FINALLY know where we are going. YIPPEE!! I know I have been slacking on the posts lately, but I have been in kind of a funk. Now that I am not so stressed out, I will be posting pics soon :).

Thats so great Annie!!! You must be so happy to know that you can visit family and SHOP! lol ;o) So happy for you guys! When do you leave?
HOORAY! The weather will definitely be warm in the valley. Big ag country, finding a farmers market will not be a problem. I am so excited to have you guys close by!

The waiting is over.....yippee! Of course, we're thrilled that you're a short plane ride away. Let the intensive packing begin!

It sounds like this works out for the best since you'll now being able to live on base, and not have to leave your pup. Glad you've found good schools for Ethan, and can make yours work out too.
I looked up Lemoore on a map and noticed it's pretty close to a lot of national forests....how cool!

Hawaii did sound great, but ya know that sounds even greater? Having family and friends visit MUCH more often. I think you'll like this much better :) Congrats!

As much as I was already looking into plane tickets for Oahu...I'm now sensing a road trip!! I'm ALSO sensing some times meeting up in Disneyland!! Looks like about 3.5-4hrs to Disneyland?? ALSO...you are not that far from Jordan. Oh yea...how exciting to have you back in the states!! And in Cali! And for a Target!! And for Milo!!
Congratulations! We're so happy for you guys, and even happier that you will live close enough that we can drive to see you! Yay! Time to plan a trip to Cali!
