Yesterday was a very eventful day full of milestones for both of the kids. Ethan had his kindergarten orientation and he is very excited for school. His teacher seems really nice and he actually has a few neighborhood friends in his class with him. They start on Sept. 3rd and we all can't wait. Ethan and I have been working on his reading and last night he read a whole book BY HIMSELF! Whole book meaning 4 pages from start to finish of "Who Has the Hat", but still, it is a great start! He was sent to time out this morning and I caught him on the stairs with his books reading. Usually he is not allowed to do anything in time out, but I let it slide by since he was doing something worthwhile.
Yesterday Lainey said her first real word......DA DA DA! Andy couldn't be happier! I on the other hand have been working on ma ma ma, but so far, nada. Ethan's first word was "hi" and after that came Da Da. I will have to get a video of her practicing it.

Lainey loves the water and so the other day I stuck her in the shower with Ethan and she LOVED it!
Lainey has a really bad cold, poor thing.....those jammies by the way are 18 months. They are a little big, but not much!

WOW! Lainey reminds me so much of Lily, chunka chunka!! Too darn cute!!! I love it!!! And congrats to Ethan for learning to read!!! Isnt it so exciting? I felt the same way with Ry. :o) Miss you guys!!!
Wow, Ethan in Kindergarden. So crazy!! I'm sure you are glad for a break! Lainey is such a chunkard! The pic of her in the bath is HILARIOUS. Oh man...a whole week with out Andy - you are a brave woman!
