The Okinawa Aquarium!

We took Grandma Pat to the aquarium the other day and it was a blast. The weather was awesome and Lainey bug was a trooper! It is located on the northern part of the island and is a bit of a drive, but well worth it!
We even got to see the dolphin show. It was amazing.

Lainey liked the "fishies" too. She knows how to say fish and said it probably a hundred times that day!
This is called a "false killer whale". They were SO smart! Here it is sticking its tongue out!

A Japanese whale :)

We had lunch with a view!

Isn't it amazing?!

A puffer fish! I tried to scare it so it would puff up, but I had no luck with that...oh well!

Lainey's first glimpse at the wonders of the ocean....
How cool is this shot! The misters...
It would have been fun to play "where's Ethan". I wish we would have thought of that!

Beautiful Bougainvillea. It reminds me of tissue paper.
He is a scary shisa dog. Lainey didn't want anything to do with him and I don't blame her!

Finally, A POST! (breck!!)

Andy gave me a keepsake box for Mother's Day....sweet huh?!

This is going to be a pretty long post because we have been doing a lot these past few days. Pat (Andy's mom) is here visiting us. It has been a lot of fun and we are so happy that she made the long voyage over here!
For her birthday I told her that I wanted to take her to this spa here called Cocok's. They give AMAZING 90 minute pedicures. Here is our final product:

Pat's toes turned out a little different from the one she chose, the girl put her own artistic flair into them. They are still fun and very Japanesey (yes that is a word, I looked it up...okay it's not, you caught me).

I got pink with flowers for the summertime!

We went to the dam the other day:

Here comes Lainey bug!

Wanna see my belly button?!

Oops, Ethan fell in!

Chubby little Japanese girl.

Here are a few good pics of Ethan at his b-ball game:

This is a funny shot. Ethan has been talking about how he wants "bangs"..here he is trying looking through them. Funny kid!

Grandma Pat, Andy and Lainey went to the park the other day while I was at Ethan's school for the Mother's Day program.

Oh dear, we are in trouble!

When Lainey gets out of the bath she loves to scream at me "baby, baby, baby!". I then wrap her up in a towel all snug and bounce her around like a baby. It lasts all of 30 seconds before she is all done with being a baby and is ready to be a big girl again.

Hoped that you liked the post and I promise, we'll post again real soon!

Say CHEESE!

YIPPEE! I finally got Lainey to sit still long enough for me to do her hair! Notice I had to bribe her with a sucker, but hey, whatever works right?! Isn't she looking so grown up?!

I told Lainey to smile and I got this....not so cute!

This one was MUCH bettter!

Last night Ethan was setting up his "base". Here is yet another example of what a great dog we have!
