The Roller Slide Park...again!

Here are some pics that Andy took of the Cherry Blossoms...They are so delicate looking..I love them!

Ethan managed not to get hurt this time, THANK GOODNESS!

Lainey and Ethan on the teeter-totter:

Just a bit windy!!

We love to swing! These are definitely Japanese swings though, they were SOOO low to the ground. Notice in the pic of Ethan standing on one.

Round and round he goes...You have to hold on TIGHT in order not to get thrown off.

I love this pic. Andy had just told Ethan he couldn't climb UP the slide and here is his reaction.

Here is proof-I got a pic of Ethan and his little friend Jessica in for a moment to grab some lunch. As soon as they were done, off they went! It is actually great weather today. YIPPEE!!!!!!!

More pics..

I know your probably thinking "where are pics of Ethan?." Well, if he isn't inside for a meal, he is outside playing. Which I really don't mind, I would rather have him outside playing than inside watching t.v! I don't get many pictures of him these days though because of that reason. If Lainey had her way, it would be like that for her as well. Here she is trying to see what is going on outside...

She would prefer if we were outside all time, but things have to get done (laundry, dishes, sweeping mio hair etc..) but if it were her decision we would be outside as much as Ethan is. Speaking of, I can't complain on how safe it is here. We live in the ultimate "gated community". The kids can play outside and we don't have to worry as much as if we were any where in the U.S. I have gratitude toward that aspect of living here. It sure is nice to tell your kid that yes, you can go outside and play, just stay where I can see you. There are many great things about this place, I just have to remember to remind myself of those..:)

Here are some pics of Lainey at the park with her daddy, notice the cute outfit from Grammy Barb. She loves to point at everything.

OOOHHHHH....

Lainey thinks that she is "so big". She loved riding on Ethan's bike.

Lainey's One Year photo

Lainey was is the worst mood ever when we went to get her one year photos taken. This is the ONLY shot that we got of her smiling. She is dressed in an Okinawan kimono and it turned out okay, but I would have liked to have a few more photos to choose from. Oh well, maybe her two year photos will be better!

Just like her mamma...

When I ask Lainey where her nose is, this is what I get:

Apparently when I was her age my dad had taught me the same trick! She however did this all by herself.

When she walks she HAS to be carrying something in her hands. Lately it has been Mio's leash. It goes everywhere with her.
I tried the whole headband thing on her thinking that if enough time had passed that she would love them again..yeah right, she just wasn't having it....

Here is a good shot of her baby blues!

Here we go AGAIN!!

Yes, that picture tells it all, Ethan knocked out his OTHER front tooth! I know, when I heard the news I couldn't help but laugh. I thought to myself "you have got to be kidding me right"?! He was with our neighbors at one of those crazy japanese roller slide parks and lo and behold he knocked out his tooth. In his 5 year old mind he thought it was a good idea to go backwards down the slide and he somehow toppled over and hit his mouth on the rollers. OUCH! The funny thing is, he was more worried about not being able to go outside and play that evening than he was about the tooth. Go figure. Andy took him to the dentist this morning and he had broken it all the way up so, they pulled it. I think he looks cute! He is just going to be the toothless wonder for a few years. Oh well, what can you do right?!
He had some money burning a hole in his pocket and so he and Andy went to the exchange and bought this little goody. Now he and Truman have a band. They decided to call themselves "The Wild Banchees". It totally fits.

Andy's Lacrosse Game

We were finally able to go and watch Andy in action. I wasn't able to get any really great shots since I had a little Lainey bug hanging on to my pant leg the whole time, but I tried! It was really fun to see him play, in all our years together, I had never seen him. It was really fun. Andy is good!! When they were picking teams Andy was the first to be picked and Ethan thought that was the coolest thing ever. Takes me back to days at the school yard....come to think of it, I don't think I was ever picked first. Yeah, I am SOO good at sports! Ha! The reason there are no pictures of Ethan is because he was over with all the Japanese lacrosse girls having a photo shoot of his own. Japanese girls just LOVE his blonde hair and blue eyes. He ate it up. When lainey was ready to go home, I just left Ethan there in the capable hands of 20 Japanese girls who wouldn't let him out of their sight.

Time to go home!
